Viva Palestina

A year on, and the situation isnt changing. A reference to the great palestinian struggle, and in particular to the convoys, of normal people, who set off from the UK, to help those in the crisis, as many governments, even muslim ones, have their heads in the ground.

ViVa Palestina by Saqib Majid

If I were to look down at the earth from space, I’d be blinded without fail,
Somewhere in the world id see a bright golden trail.

A Golden trail, a golden fleet, call it whatever you may,
Is on the way wholeheartedly, to help the Intifada stay.

For those in anguish, a long and winding road towards liberation,
Seems a little more victorious now
The fleet now on its way, temporarily stopping at the gas station.

The son leaves home, to be part of the helping cause,
The convoy one man stronger, helping humanity has never had a clause.

Driven by the feeling, of how it’d be, in the dying child’s shoes,
The plight of a mother, the loss of the child, is no media covered news.

On the ummah, the brotherhood, the Palestinians have confided,
Our eyes veiled by false media, with political agendas coincided.

The convoy sets off, amidst much upheaval,
The cause in the heart, the cause to stop evil.
