Curse of the Gab

Confused, dazed, and in a world of my own,
Better to stay like this then listen to your useless gibberish and conniving moans,

Simple, quiet, yet naive and reluctant in every sense,
Better to appear this way than seeming wise under a pretence.

Running to where I want to go, stumbling, falling, and looking up at the sky,
Better to stay hopeful and inspirational then to be living under a cloud of a lie.

A cloud of a lie that isn't gonna make you feel any better
Catch up, overtake and destroy you without an insurance letter.

You are how you are they always say,
Your own ball and your own court in your own style of play,
But what is this style when the points are not scored?
can they still tell you to play on when the board is empty and the crowd havent roared?

Thinking speed like a snail, but talking speed like a teenage girl on a text,
Isnt it so wise of you now to cast me onto your inferiority complex.

Sit back, listen, take in, learn and contemplate,
Maybe your better off that way, at least you'll learn from your mistake.

No man too old in life to learn; fire still burns brightly on an old log,
So don't listen to them when they say new tricks cant be taken on by an old dog.

Right now my head aches with pain, and throbs the issue right out,
will you still be talking without making sense when the tide has flown and the lights are finally out?
