Fajr

The big boys at school always said they were the toughest of their kind,
They lifted forty on the biceps, and over a hundred on the chest, inclined.

To them, being a man was lifting weight for material and egotistical pride,
However, our prophet echoed:" A stronger man is the one who wakes promptly in fajr's stride.
Be it the world's strongest man, or the paralysed and weak,
The strongest in faith is the one who wakes for fajr and sacrifices his sleep.

As you are reading this verse, I also wish to fix myself along the way,
In regards to conduct, and in regards to promptly pray.

I find that such a virtue is heavily neglected nowadays,
and that the bed is given more dues, more dues than heaven pays.

My brothers, lets be mirrors of each other along the way and blessed may it be,
Inshallah, soon reaching a timeless place, a place the brain cannot imagine and the eye cannot yet see.
